Nestled in the heart of Sherman Oaks, Petit Trois le Valley invites diners to experience an authentic taste of France with an intimate, vibrant atmosphere that feels both inviting and effortlessly chic. This charming French restaurant offers a carefully curated menu that showcases classic Parisian flavors elevated with refined techniques and fresh, quality ingredients.
The culinary experience at Petit Trois le Valley is truly memorable, beginning with their iconic Steak Frites. The perfectly cooked 8oz filet, accompanied by a luscious cognac pepper sauce or a fragrant herb sauce, is a highlight that leaves a lasting impression. Patrons rave about the tender, juicy steak paired with crisp, golden frites — a harmony of flavors and textures that epitomizes French bistro comfort food. For a more decadent indulgence, the Filet Aux Poivres tantalizes with its rich sauce and mouthwatering tenderness.
The menu also features an enticing assortment of tartines and plates, including the Mec Muffin with sunny-side egg, Parisian ham, and creamy American cheese accented by garlic aioli — a savory start to your meal that balances bold and subtle tastes. Seafood lovers will delight in the Burgundy Escargot, bursting with garlicky richness, and the Mussels Marinière, cooked exquisitely in a fragrant broth that hints at the sea. Although some guests note the mussels tend to be on the smaller side, the preparation and flavor remain outstanding.
Delight in freshly baked English baguettes served with honey Bordier butter, a simple yet comforting pairing that perfectly complements the heavier entrees. The dessert selection is equally impressive, featuring sumptuous treats like the airy Chocolate Soufflé, classic Crème Brûlée with its perfectly caramelized top, and a shareable Apple Tart that offers just the right balance of sweet and tart to round off your dining experience.
Several guests highlight the warm, attentive service and lively ambiance that makes Petit Trois le Valley ideal for any occasion — from a celebratory birthday dinner to a romantic date night. The restaurant does fill up quickly, particularly during peak hours on weeknights, so advanced reservations are recommended to ensure a cozy indoor table. The welcoming staff are adept at smoothing out any reservation hiccups, often enhancing the evening with thoughtful gestures like a glass of champagne.
The overall vibe strikes a perfect balance between casual sophistication and energetic conviviality, creating an environment where the timeless charm of French cuisine shines. Whether you’re savoring the big Mec burger with its indulgent fries, indulging in flavorful duck confit, or simply soaking in the authentic Parisian ambiance, Petit Trois le Valley delivers an exquisite, satisfying escape to France right in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.

We had a lovely meal. There was some confusion on the reservation but it was smoothed over with a glass of champagne. My husband had the escargot and the steak fritttes, one of the best meals he's had in a long time. I had the crab cake, only one but lots of crab and the mussels. The preparation of the mussels was delicious but the mussels were extremely small. My husband had the apple tart for dessert. The service was nice and it wasn't too loud in the restaurant. We will go back again.
We went to Petit Trois le Valley to celebrate a birthday. When we got there at 7pm on a Wednesday the place was completely full. You’ll want to make a reservation you don’t want to risk not being seated during peak hours. All of the food we got was really good and filling. The Chicken Liver Mousse really surprised us with the amount they gave you as well as how tasty it was. They definitely don’t cheap out and make sure to you get enough! Valet parking is available behind the restaurant for $15 if you don’t want to bother with street parking.
Went here after an exploring the Getty Museum and there was a bit of a wait despite having a reservation. Make sure to check if you're reserving an indoor table because those fill up quickly and you could be left with an outdoor seating. Our server, Ashley, is nice and attentive. We started off with the baguette which was delicious and the butter that came with it as well. The mussels were cooked with a decent white sauce though a bit tiny and pricy for what was offered. Big Mec is the signature dish of the restaurant and after tasting it, I can see why it's popular on social media! Steak frites was average and I wish the sides were more varied especially since the mussels also came with fries. Having a veggie option would complement and balance many dishes in my opinion. Sadly, there was no more space for dessert but we may try it next time!
Amazing French restaurant. Loved everything in the menu. The vibe of the place is perfect and the service was top notch. Everything came out and tasted so good. The cocktails were incredible too and overall we just had a wonderful experience. Would recommend to try if you are craving a classic French date night out.
We got the lemon pasta, duck confit, and the Big Mec which was the burger. The duck confit is very flavorful and has a strong duck taste. The burger was also great come with a fries and sauce on the plate. The baguette tasted great with butter but nothing special. The we got a crème brulee which is a large desert that can be shared with. I used the reservation from open table and no problem with the process.
We are a fan of Chef Ludo, came to his events in 2016 at the LA branch, again in 2019. This time we checked out the Valley branch and it didn't disappoint. We waited for about 15 minutes to be seated, it's Friday night and the place is buzzing. Our server Sierra is the best server, very helpful, bubbly and knowledgeable of tree menu. She guided us with our selections and it was perfect: Endive Salad (10/10 the walnut complements the endive so well), Crab Cake (10/10 it's not the typical lumpy bready kind, it has amazing texture), Escargot (10/10 make sure you have extra baguette to mop up the garlicky sauce), French onion soup (9/10, the broth is a bit too sweet for my taste, probably a bit of sherry or cognac would kick it up a notch), Filet mignon au poivre (8/10, the sauce is a bit too overpowering), Duck confit (9/10) and the star of the evening - Big Mec burger (11/10). Yes, burger in a French restaurant! The bordelaise sauce is amazing, the wagyu beef, the brioche, it's perfect temperature, perfect everything. I will drive 2 hours from the OC for this burger. We top off with chocolate souffle which has the sweet and bitter chocolate taste. Good luck Chef with the new restaurant opening in Aspen. I'm forever grateful with you showing us how to prepare your famous French omelet (which is on the menu BTW).
Fine French fare served with Blasé attitude lacking any savoir faire. This is keeping with the atmosphere at least. Server didn't check in until the bill was due. No refilled water, nothing. C'est la vie.
